The Preschool Teacher Training College
The Preschool Teacher Training College “Mihailo Palov“ in Vrsac has one accredited 3-year bachelor professional study program with four modules (general preschool teacher, preschool teacher with emphasized competencies for work with toddlers, preschool teacher with emphasized competencies for work with socially deprived children, preschool teacher with emphasized competencies for work with children in English language) and one 2-year master program (professional master preschool teacher).

The teaching languages at the college are: Serbian, Romanian and Roma. Apart from its regular activities, the college organizes and takes part in other versatile activities: publishing (more than 250 titles in 5 libraries, Scientific Journal Research in Pedagogy – http://research.rs/), organization of student and staff mobility and exchange through Erasmus+ programme, professional development of workers in education, organization of international conferences, a variety of extracurricular activities for students (choir, orchestra, drama club, sport club, student conferences, workshops…).
The college and its staff have strong expertise in international cooperation within higher education through a variety of projects (Gifted Children and Relevant Adults in the Region of Timish and South Banat (2007), Quality in education, college and universities, using innovative methods and new laboratories (2011, 2012), Tempus Programme project titled Harmonization of Preschool Teacher Education Curricula in Serbia (2013-2016), IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme project Smart Children Network (2015/16), Pre – and Elementary Schooling of Roma: Fostering opportunities for greater attainment and early school leaving reduction as a partner (2015/16) Erasmus+ CBHE Keep Educating Yourself (2018-2022), kao i CBC Romania Serbia project For New Unique Education Design (2021-2023).
Unique in the region for providing teaching in Romani language, the College was a host of high officials of the European Union (Mr. Christos Makridis, deputy head of Serbian Unit in 2018 and Mr. Sem Fabrizi, Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia in 2019) and UNICEF (Mr. Michel Saint-Lot, UNICEF Office Director in Serbia in 2017).
